Clear Lens Extraction (CLE), also known as refractive lens exchange, is a procedure where the eye’s natural lens is replaced with a clear artificial lens to reduce dependence on glasses or contacts. It is often recommended for patients who are not good candidates for LASIK or other laser procedures.
